Pathologists Assistant

Job Title: Pathologists Assistant Location: Jackson, MI Job Type: 8-Week Contract Assignment Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Pathologists Assistant for an 8-week contract assignment in Jackson, MI. The ideal candidate will support pathology services in a clinical/laboratory setting and work closely with the pathology team to ensure accurate and timely specimen processing and reporting. Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Overtime billable after 40 hours per week Required Qualifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologist’s Assistant program OR PA (ASCP) certification Responsibilities: Assist pathologists with examination and dissection of surgical specimens and autopsies Prepare and document specimens for laboratory analysis Ensure proper handling, labeling, and processing of tissue samples Maintain accurate records and comply with laboratory protocols Support quality assurance and laboratory compliance standards Collaborate with pathology and laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow #millenium1 Job Type: Contract Experience: pathologist assistant : 2 years (Preferred) high-volume surgical pathology lab: 5 years (Preferred) License/Certification: PA ASCP (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Jackson, MI 49201 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Jackson, MI 49201: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
