Senior Research Associate - Cell Culture
We are seeking a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to support routine and advanced mammalian cell culture and molecular biology work within a fast-growing, cross-disciplinary gene therapy team. This role is hands-on and lab-focused, with opportunities to learn and contribute to cell engineering and viral vector workflows while supporting day-to-day laboratory operations.Our team consists of creative bioengineers and synthetic biologists working closely with data scientists to develop cutting-edge solutions in gene therapy.Key ResponsibilitiesCell Culture and Bench WorkPerform routine mammalian cell culture and aseptic bench workMaintain multiple mammalian cell lines, including freezing, thawing, and cell bankingSupport routine assays of consistent types while maintaining high data qualityCharacterize cell lines using molecular and analytical techniquesMolecular and Analytical TechniquesPerform ddPCR, qPCR, and flow cytometry experimentsSupport basic molecular biology workflows including PCR, plasmid preparation, and bacterial transformationAssist with material transformation and media preparation in collaboration with the molecular biology teamViral Vector and Cell Engineering SupportSupport lentiviral or AAV-based workflows where applicableContribute to viral vector characterization and cell line development efforts as experience allowsDocumentation and CommunicationDocument experimental work clearly and accurately using BenchlingPrepare data summaries and presentations that clearly communicate resultsMaintain high attention to detail to ensure traceability, reproducibility, and complianceWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
