Lead Line Cook

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, and menu execution, with a strong focus on maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. As a Lead Line Cook, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, mentor junior staff, and ensure that all dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen line, ensuring smooth workflow during service Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including training on food safety, knife skills, and proper food handling Assist in menu planning and development to enhance dining experiences Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction Uphold high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency during all service periods Requirements Proven experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department, or restaurant experience with a focus on kitchen operations Strong culinary skills including food preparation, cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal preparation Experience with menu planning, food safety protocols, catering, and food handling procedures Background in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments preferred Knowledge of food service standards and excellent customer service skills Ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and safety practices Culinary experience that demonstrates proficiency in various cooking methods and meal assembly Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week Work Location: In person
