Orthopedics - Spine Physician Assistant

Docstar is looking for a Spine Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (FNP/PA) for a contract in Minnesota. Start Date: 05/04/2026 Length of Assignment: 3 months with a high likelihood of extension Schedule: 4-day workweek (Mon Thurs, occasional Tues Fri), 8 9 hour days; no weekends, holidays, or call. Split between OR (1 2 days/week) and clinic Credentialing: May support proxy credentialing depending on qualifications Procedures: Primarily minimally invasive spine procedures; includes scoliosis cases depending on surgeon Setting: Rural Health Facility EMR: EMR experience required (specific system TBD) Licence Needed: Minnesota preferred; license-eligible candidates considered Certifications: BLS, ACLS Details: Facility is seeking an experienced FNP or PA with strong spine experience to support two neurosurgeons and an incoming orthopedic spine surgeon. The role includes a mix of spine OR coverage and clinic focused on musculoskeletal and spine care. Support staff includes a Spine Navigator RN and dedicated OR surgical tech team, creating a collaborative surgical environment. Ideal candidates have at least 1+ year of spine surgery or inpatient experience and are comfortable with orthopedic devices, injections, and minor procedures.
