The Electrical Project Engineer is designed for someone who enjoys problem-solving, learning from experienced engineers, and seeing their designs turn into real-world infrastructure.As an Electrical Project Engineer, you’ll support and deliver electrical designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, municipal systems, and process facilities. You’ll work across power distribution and generation, lighting, instrumentation and controls, and SCADA systems—collaborating closely with senior engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll gain exposure to increasingly complex projects while developing the technical judgment needed to take on more responsibility over time.ResponsibilitiesProvide professional electrical engineering services for projects including planning, studies, design, bidding and construction administrationManage performance of assigned project team membersMaintain existing client relationships and enhance pursued relationships with clientsIdentify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunitiesProvide quality control and quality assurance on all project workMaintain budgets and schedules of project assignmentsCoordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetingsDevelop new markets, client relationships, etc. BasicBachelor's degree in electrical engineering4+ years of electrical system design experienceRegistration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 monthsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business developmentAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. Preferred5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in water and/or wastewater treatmentKnowledge of instrumentation and control systems. Medium voltage experienceProject management experienceScope and fee development specific to electrical designPhysicalAbility to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrainAbility to stand or sit for prolonged periods of timeOccasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twistOccasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weightMay require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 poundsAbility to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
