In this role you will support time-sensitive and long-term projects by evaluating subsurface and environmental factors that affect mobility, construction feasibility, resource availability, and operational risk in austere and developing environments.What Required Skills You'll BringActive TS/SCI with 4+ years of experience as a geologist or geoscientist supporting government, DoD, or national security missionsBachelor’s degree in a Geology, Geoscience, Earth Science, or Geological Engineering fieldExperience conducting applied geologic analysis, including soil and rock characterization, hydrology, geomorphology, terrain stability, or environmental assessmentsExperience producing written technical reports, assessments, or analytical products for operational or decision-making audiencesKnowledge of geologic data sources and methodologies, including field data, laboratory analysis, scientific literature, and publicly available datasetsAbility to clearly brief senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams on geologic findings, risks, and implicationsAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiencesWhat You'll Be DoingConduct geological analysis related to terrain, soils, bedrock, hydrology, geomorphology, and environmental conditions, and render into digestible information that can be understood by AFRICOM leadershipTranslate complex geologic data into clear, mission-relevant assessments and written products for senior leaders, planners, and operational staff.Support time-sensitive and long-term projects by evaluating subsurface and environmental factors that affect mobility, construction feasibility, resource availability, and operational risk in austere and developing environments.What Desired Skills You'll BringExperience supporting projects or operations within the AFRICOM Area of ResponsibilityExperience with intelligence analysis and DIA analytic standardsExperience with geology of austere, remote, or developing environmentsExperience working with MASINT or large or complex geologic datasets, and summarizing findings for decision-makersSecurity Clearance RequirementAn active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
