This role plays an important part in promoting resident independence, engagement, and overall quality of life.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive scheduled daily and weekly routes for shopping, medical appointments, worship services, entertainment, and special eventsAssist residents on and off the vehicle, including use of wheelchair lifts, stairs, walkers, and wheelchairsLoad and secure mobility equipment and personal belongings; assist with oxygen tanks following proper safety proceduresConduct daily vehicle safety checks including fuel, oil, fluids, lights, and overall conditionCoordinate vehicle servicing and repairs as needed; maintain service logs and recordsClean and maintain the interior and exterior of the vehicle, including trash removal and surface cleaningRespond calmly and appropriately to vehicle issues or emergencies, following established safety proceduresCommunicate any observed resident concerns or changes in condition to leadershipSupport emergency response or evacuation efforts as neededAssist with Life Enrichment activities, events, and errands as requestedRequired Qualifications & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum 1 year of experience working with older adults or in a long-term care setting preferredValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordAbility to follow safety procedures and emergency protocolsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCompassionate, patient, and service-oriented demeanorAbility to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and remain calm under pressurePhysical RequirementsAbility to assist residents with mobility needs, including lifting and securing equipmentAbility to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, bending, and driving for extended periodsAt Echo Lake, we’ve partnered with MemoMate, an AI-powered virtual interviewer, to make the first step in our hiring process simple, convenient, and engaging for all candidates.Solera Senior Living is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
