Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Location: New Brunswick, NJ – Onsite, 5 days/weekSalary: $275,000 – $300,000 + bonusReports To: President & CEOOverviewA growing mission-driven organization is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Chief Financial Officer to lead all aspects of its financial operations. The CFO will partner with the President and executive team to drive financial strategy, ensure reporting integrity, manage capital and liquidity, and optimize resources across the organization and its affiliates. This is an executive-level role with significant visibility to the Board of Trustees and key stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipPartner with the President and executive team to implement the strategic plan.Contribute to organizational strategy, assessing financial and operational performance to achieve goals.Financial ManagementOversee all financial operations, including banking, accounts payable/receivable, and cash management.Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external use.Ensure appropriate interfaces exist with all lines of business for efficient transaction processing.Budgeting & Capital PlanningLead the annual operating budget and capital planning process in alignment with strategic goals.Determine investment and operating capital needs and implement strategies to raise funds.Ensure timely submission of reports and information for grants, investments, and regulatory purposes.Cash Management & LiquidityMonitor cash flow, liquidity, and resources necessary to fund operations and investments.Ensure compliance with investment policies.Compliance & Risk ManagementMaintain policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risk.Oversee audits, ensure regulatory compliance, and monitor investor covenants.Participate in credit and risk committee meetings and manage non-performing assets and reserves.Board & Stakeholder RelationsServe as primary finance liaison to the Board of Trustees, Audit, and Finance Committees.Present financial statements and organizational performance analyses at board meetings.Team LeadershipManage, mentor, and develop finance team members.Establish professional development plans and provide timely feedback to direct reports.QualificationsBachelor’s degree required; CPA license with at least 10 years of current experience.Minimum 5 years in a senior financial management role.Strong knowledge of FASB and GAAP procedures and financial systems.Experience in community development or mission-driven finance preferred.Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and work collaboratively.Excellent oral and written communication skills.High level of confidentiality, flexibility, and results-oriented leadership.Willingness to travel as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
