Tax Senior (Beaumont)

Tax SeniorPosition Overview The Tax Senior will be responsible for managing a portfolio of tax clients and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role involves preparing and reviewing various tax returns, providing tax planning strategies, and mentoring junior staff while delivering exceptional service to clients in a fast-paced public accounting environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review federal and state tax returns including 1120, 1120S, 1040, and 1041 forms.Manage a portfolio of clients and ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.Conduct tax research and provide clients with advice on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.Mentor and train junior tax staff in tax preparation and compliance processes.Assist in IRS and state audit processes and provide necessary documentation and support.Stay updated on tax legislation and changes that may impact clients&#x27; tax situations.QualificationsBachelor&#x27;s degree in Accounting or related field.CPA certification is required.Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
