Fabricator/Welder
Position Summary:
Layout, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble sheet metal fittings, transitions and duct work in a timely manner.
JOB LOCATION: SPRINGFIELD, OREGON Do not apply if you do not live in the area or plan on moving to this area.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences and required methods and materials according to blueprints, drawings and verbal instruction
Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes
Manually guide gun along weld line maintaining length of arc and speed of movement
Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
Change hoses, fittings, air valves and other parts
Examine weld for bead size and other specifications
Inspect assemblies for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments required
Perform all necessary maintenance and repairs on all equipment used for welding
Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
Capable of performing a wide variety of welding functions
Ability to operate various types of welding equipment
Ability to work well independently or as a team
Ability to identify and measure material
Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
Education and Experience:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
1+ years previous welding experience
Previous experience in a fabrication or construction environment is preferred
Degree or certification from relevant trade school or apprenticeship preferred
Ability to interpret drawings and blue prints
