Job Description Material Handler / Forklift OperatorSchedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday-FridayLocation: Sandston, VAPay Rate: $16.00/hrJob OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and distribution operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift, handling materials, and supporting shipping and receiving processes to ensure accurate and efficient workflow.The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, material handling, shipping and receiving, and inventory control, with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and productivity.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse and production facilityPerform material handling duties including transporting raw materials and finished goods to designated locationsSupport shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy during inbound and outbound shipmentsInspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, damage, and quality complianceAssist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock organization to maintain accurate warehouse recordsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse distribution environmentCollaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production and shipping goalsFollow all company safety procedures, OSHA standards, and warehouse operating policiesQualificationsPrevious experience as a forklift operator, material handler, or warehouse associate in a distribution or manufacturing environmentExperience in shipping and receiving, inventory management, or warehouse operations preferredAbility to safely operate a sit-down forklift (certification preferred but not required)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail with excellent organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented warehouse environmentReliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions and procedures#KENMH
