The MTSS Interventionist works collaboratively with theDistrict MTSS Coordinator, school administrators, classroom teachers, specialeducation staff, and other professional colleagues to ensure that interventions are data-driven and aligned with identified student needs.The primary focus of this role is direct student intervention and progress monitoring toaccelerate student outcomes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Instruction & Intervention DeliveryProvide explicit, systematic, and research-based interventions in academic,behavioral, and/or attendance areasDeliver small group supplemental (Tier II) and/or intensive (Tier III) instructionaligned to identified student needsImplement interventions with fidelity, including modeling, guided practice, andfeedbackUtilize district-approved intervention programs and evidence-based strategiesData Analysis & Progress MonitoringUse academic, behavior, and attendance data to identify students in need of interventionAnalyze screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring data (e.g., mCLASS DIBELS, AimswebPlus, behavior/attendance data)Develop and implement targeted intervention plans and adjust instruction based on student progress dataConduct regular progress monitoring and maintain accurate documentation of interventions, student outcomes, and data records within district MTSS/intervention data systemsSupport MTSS team decisions regarding student tier movementCollaboration & MTSS ImplementationCommunicate with families regarding student progress, intervention plans, and strategies for support at homeParticipate in MTSS meetings and data teams to support problem-solving and instructional decision-makingAssist in organizing intervention groups and schedules based on student needsAttend district MTSS meetings to ensure alignment between district expectations and school-level implementationProfessional Learning & Capacity BuildingSupport teachers in implementing district-endorsed intervention curricula and evidence-based instructional strategiesModel and share effective intervention practices to support teacher understanding and applicationShare strategies that support student success in core instruction (Tier I)Participate in professional learning related to MTSS, intervention practices, and data-based decision-makingFacilitate or support professional development to strengthen staff understanding of intervention practices and student support strategiesQualifications:Certification and Licensure Requirements (if applicable):Must hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator's License.ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience preferredExperience working with diverse learners and/or intervention programs preferredCompletion of LETRS training or other Science of Reading-aligned professional development (e.g., structured literacy, phonics-based instruction) preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of the MTSS framework and tiered instructionKnowledge of evidence-based instructional practicesAbility to deliver explicit, systematic instructionKnowledge of effective mathematics instruction, including the use of concrete, representational/pictoral, and abstract (CRA) approachesAbility to implement evidence-based behavioral strategies to support engagement and self-regulationAbility to analyze and use data to inform instructionStrong collaboration, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple student groups and schedulesPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift, carry, and move instructional materials and resources (up to 25-30 pounds)Ability to stand, walk, and actively engage with students for extended periodsAbility to work in various instructional settingsEssential Functions/Typical TasksKnowledge of the MTSS model and how to implement interventions and monitor student progressKnowledge of current research on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional learning (SEL) interventionsExperience working with and developing programs for diverse groups of studentsAbility to analyze data and use data to drive decision-makingAssist schools in understanding screening, diagnostic and progress monitoring data for the purpose of identification of struggling learners, instruction/intervention design, and students' response to interventions, respectively.Provides individual and small group instruction designed to meet individual needs and motivate students in pull out and/or classroom setting.Assist with designing intervention and monitoring response to intervention for students who are struggling.Assists schools in developing strategic plans for intervention and growth for all students.Monitor and report out student achievement data associated with the multi-tier assessments.Manage student intervention caseloads.Mentor school-based Problem-Solving teams through development and implementation of MTSS at all tiers.Maintains records as required by the school, District and/or state and makes appropriate reports as directed.Communicate and work closely with the regular classroom teachers while assisting in the development of each students' intervention program.Have in-depth knowledge of data collection and progress monitoringDevelop and provide materials for/with
