Job Summary: The Support Services and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for overseeing TTD’s helpline program with the goal of advancing TTD capacity to achieve its mission related to the issues of domestic abuse, dating violence, human trafficking, and stalking.
This position requires regular work in TTD’s administrative office located in Cape Elizabeth and in the community. Travel throughout Cumberland County is required.
Prior experience and training are an advantage, though TTD values life experiences and provides comprehensive training for all new employees to fully perform advocacy functions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Schedule and maintain TTD’s 24-hour helpline schedule.
· Serve as daytime helpline supervisor (M-F) including approving financial requests, knowing regular callers, providing authority to delegate calls, etc.
· Regularly evaluate employee helpline performance and provide feedback and continued education.
· Plan and deliver annual CAIRET. Provide support and supervision during CAIRET and beyond to ensure TTD helpline workers provide exceptional service on the helpline.
· Manage workplace volunteers and other non-direct service volunteers.
· Maintain TTD’s social media presence.
· With other members of TTD Community Education and Prevention program, develop and keep fresh TTD’s message and public appearance, seek ways to maintain visibility in the community including through social media, and speak for TTD in local venues.
Required Role on Helpline
All advocates and educators are required to provide on-call coverage for our 24-hour helpline including covering M-F and weekend daytime and overnight shifts, on a rotation, with frequency of shifts dictated by staffing and volunteer levels. On-call responsibilities include serving on the front lines to answer helpline calls as they come through, completing shelter intakes as needed and providing support to our 16-bed emergency shelter, providing support and guidance for on-call volunteers, and seeking consultation from supervisors regarding complex calls. TTD fully trains all employees to fulfill this role, and additional on call pay rates apply.
