Fabric Data Engineer – Data Security & DevOps Focus
For our client, we are seeking a Fabric Data Engineer – Data Security & DevOps Focus to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will focus on designing and securing modern data pipelines and platforms that support mission-critical operations. You will combine data engineering expertise with cloud security and DevOps practices to build scalable, compliant solutions. The work will span architecture, implementation, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to strengthen data reliability, governance, and operational resilience.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize secure ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data engineering tools Build and maintain Lakehouses and data platforms with a focus on security and compliance Implement data security controls including encryption and fine-grained access management Integrate security and compliance requirements into data architectures and pipelines Apply DevOps practices to maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate testing and deployment Containerize data applications and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform Monitor data pipelines for anomalies and collaborate on incident response
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent experience 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer building production data pipelines and platforms Experience with Microsoft Fabric or related Microsoft analytics services Hands-on experience with Azure cloud data platforms and their security services Demonstrated experience implementing data security measures such as encryption and access control
