Overnight Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Responsibilities:Perform preventive maintenance and monitor equipment performance to support efficient operations and minimize downtime.Provide guidance and support to junior maintenance team members and trainees to promote skill development and adherence to maintenance standards.Respond to maintenance requests from production and other departments in a timely and professional manner while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.Operate maintenance equipment and tools according to established procedures while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.Maintain equipment and machinery in safe, operational condition through proactive troubleshooting and repair efforts.Participate in daily operational meetings to communicate updates related to safety, quality, maintenance, production, and continuous improvement initiatives.Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures with a high level of accountability and attention to detail.Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify corrective actions and escalate issues when necessary.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Support and help manage preventive maintenance programs, ensuring maintenance schedules and documentation are properly maintained.Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and implement effective solutions to reduce operational disruptions.Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by identifying opportunities to improve processes, equipment reliability, and team performance.Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as part of routine job duties.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or completion of a maintenance training/apprenticeship program preferred.Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with experience in electromechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, PLCs, and robotics.Ability to use a wide range of maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and blueprints.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions.Basic computer proficiency preferred.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Additional technical coursework or certifications may be required based on experience and assessment results.
