Operation Blessing – Hunger Strike ForceDriving in: Mid- and South-Atlantic RegionOperation Blessing (OB) is dedicated to demonstrating God's love by alleviating human suffering in the United States and around the world. We are seeking a Regional Truck Driver to work with Hunger Strike Force to transport product to and from assigned pick-up and delivery locations. This position will ensure safe operation of assigned OB tractor and trailer in compliance with Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations (FMCSR). Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to OB's Biblical mission to extend a helping hand in Christ's name to meet physical and spiritual needs.The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:Must have Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Class "A"DOT Certification required300,000+ miles previous driving experienceNo DMV chargeable offenses for immediate 3-year period prior to employmentMust pass DOT drug and alcohol test prior to employmentWorking knowledge of DOT 11, 14, and 70-hour drive/work ruleWorking knowledge of trailer product placement in accordance with Federal Bridge lawsKnowledge of DOT Federal Motor Carriers Safety RegulationsSkill in hooking and unhooking tractor-trailer combination unitsAbility to plan and execute travel-time in a safe, legal and DOT compliant mannerAbility to perform DOT compliant vehicle inspectionsAbility to travel 5+ days/nights per weekAbility to handle stress, and meet deadlines and time demandsAbility to communicate to donors, ministries and dispatch in a positive mannerAbility to sit for long periods of time; ability to stand, walk and lift 25+ poundsDemonstrate life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with OB's non-profit Christian missionOperation Blessing (OB) is a non-profit humanitarian organization that provides strategic relief on an ongoing basis through core programs such as hunger relief, medical care, clean water, and disaster relief.
