Senior Director – Gas Infrastructure DevelopmentNew York, USA (Hybrid)OverviewWe are supporting a leading energy infrastructure and power generation business in the appointment of a Senior Director – Gas Infrastructure Development. This is a high-impact, strategic role focused on enabling the development of new gas-fired power projects across the US.The position sits within a dedicated generation development team and will play a critical role in delivering the gas supply and transportation infrastructure required to bring new power assets online.This is a unique opportunity to join a well-capitalised platform with a strong pipeline of projects, working at the intersection of commercial, technical, and regulatory environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development of gas infrastructure solutions to support new-build gas-fired power generation projectsStructure, negotiate, and execute gas supply agreements, transportation agreements, and interconnection arrangementsManage relationships with pipeline operators, utilities, and third-party infrastructure providersOversee the end-to-end lifecycle of gas infrastructure development, from early-stage feasibility through to executionCoordinate with internal project development, engineering, legal, and finance teams to ensure alignment across all workstreamsEvaluate routing, capacity, and commercial viability of pipeline and gas supply optionsSupport permitting, regulatory engagement, and stakeholder management where requiredProvide commercial and technical input into project investment decisionsCandidate ProfileProven experience in gas infrastructure, pipeline development, or gas-fired power project developmentStrong understanding of the US natural gas market, including transportation, supply, and regulatory frameworksExperience negotiating complex commercial agreements (e.g. transportation, supply, interconnects)Ability to operate across both commercial and technical project environmentsBackground in energy project development, utilities, midstream, or IPP environmentsStrong stakeholder management skills, both internally and externallyAbility to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with multiple concurrent developmentsAdditional InformationLocation: New York (hybrid working model)Relocation support available on a case-by-case basisCompetitive base salary and performance-related bonus
