KC084 - Night Newborn Care Specialist - Williamsburg, Brooklyn (Hiring Immediately)
Overview A warm and down-to-earth family in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is seeking a Newborn Care Specialist to support them with their third baby, due May 22, 2026 (planned C-section likely May 15th). This will be their first time working with a night nurse. The contract will run for approximately 4-6 weeks, with coverage 7 nights per week, 12-hour overnight shifts from 8pm to 8am. This is a live-out position, and candidates must be local to NYC. The role must be invoiced through Carrot Fertility benefits. The family lives in a two-level, three-bedroom apartment that is easily accessible (street-level entry, 7-minute walk to public transportation). They also have two older children - a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl. The household dynamic is casual but respectful. The parents value professionalism, clear boundaries, and collaborative partnership. They are experienced employers and have had a long-term nanny for three years. They appreciate self-initiation, but expect their parenting preferences to be followed. Trust, communication, and alignment are extremely important. Schedule: Mid-May 2026 (C-section likely May 15th) 4-6 weeks 7 nights per week 8pm - 8am (12-hour overnight shifts) No travel required Responsibilities All aspects of attentive overnight newborn care Supporting breastfeeding mother (bringing baby to nurse, resettling after feeds) Establishing and supporting healthy sleep habits Assisting with nighttime routine Sterilizing bottles and pump parts Cleaning and sanitizing feeding equipment Baby-related laundry Monitoring newborn's health, sleep, feeding patterns, and output Maintaining a calm, structured overnight environment Clear and consistent communication with parents Supporting maternal recovery post C-section Lactation knowledge/support strongly preferred Qualifications Experience supporting breastfeeding families Calm, confident, and nurturing presence Strong communication skills Ability to take direction and align with parenting preferences Highly trustworthy and discreet Organized, self-sufficient, and proactive Lactation training or certification a major plus Requirements At least five years of NCS experience CPR & First Aid certification Fully up-to-date childhood vaccinations (including Tdap, MMR, Flu, RSV, and COVID) Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Must be able to be paid through CARROT FERTILITY BENEFITS Local to NYC (live-out role) Ability to commit to 4-6 weeks, 7 nights per week Salary and Benefits $40-$50 per hour DOE 12-hour guaranteed overnight shifts 7 nights per week Paid through Carrot Live-out position
