Project Accountant

Job Title: Project AccountantLocation: AventuraJob Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join a growing construction team. This role will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of multiple projects, including job cost tracking, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate and a strong understanding of construction accounting.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and monitor job cost accounting across multiple projectsPrepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustmentsPerform bank and balance sheet reconciliationsSupport month-end close and ensure timely reportingAnalyze budget vs. actuals and provide variance insightsWork closely with Project Managers to track project costs and performanceManage AIA billing, WIP schedules, and revenue recognitionAssist with cash flow forecasting and project financial planningEnsure accurate data entry and reporting within Sage 300Support audit requests and maintain proper documentationQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of experience in construction or project accountingStrong experience with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate requiredKnowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and AIA billingAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesWhy Join UsStable pipeline of commercial projectsCollaborative and growth-oriented teamCompetitive compensation and benefitsAscendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
