Job Description:The Sanitation employee is responsible for supporting cleaning and sanitizing functionof the precut operation. This position includes an active participation in the tasksnecessary to ensure that Keany Produce & Gourmet manufactures and distributes safeand consistent products of the highest quality and that all products are in compliancewith regulatory requirements, customer specs and company standards.Essential Duties:Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic and positive working environmentPromote health and safety in workplaceUnderstand GMP, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, and inspection regulationsReading chemical labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to learn how to properly handle chemicalsResponsible for cleaning and sanitizing tools, equipment, and environment of the food processing area using various chemicalsResponsible for cleanliness of the food plant using water pressure hoseAssemble and disassemble sanitized machines and processing equipment, when necessaryAble to complete checklists and documents for assigned work area on a daily basis1 year of Sanitation experience referredHACCP or ServeSafe certification is preferableMust be able to work in a cold (37 degrees) and wet environmentAble to lift up to 50lbsMust be able to work while standing and to crouch or kneel as required by the type of work being completed
