Mechanical Designer

JOB SUMMARY: The Mechanical Designer will be working for a custom metal fabricating company which was founded in 1920.The ideal candidate must have a strong mechanical aptitude , attention to detail, and be very organized. Proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Mechanical is a must with experience with Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks being a plus. You will be asked to create assembly and shop drawings of dust/fume collection systems, ductwork, bases, platforms, booths, structural parts, and specialty sheet metal parts. RESPONSIBILITIES: Create assembly drawings. Create shop drawings for fabrication. Create bill of materials. Order parts and materials. Field measure at customers facility (may require out of town travel with overnight stays). SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Required Proficient in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Mechanical. High attention to detail. Must be organized. Strong communication skills. Able to work with customers and team members via Teams meetings. Collaborative team player with a commitment to quality and professionalism. Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Valid driver’s license from state of residence. · Preferred Experience with Inventor or Solidworks. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: · Required Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology (MET) or related field. JOB SNAPSHOT Position Based: Cincinnati, OH Position Type: Full Time, 1st Shift.
