Controller/VP Finance

BCS Finance is representing a Private equity backed Commercial/Residential services platform that is seeking a hands-on Controller / VP of Finance due to continued growth and operational expansion.This leader will own the day-to-day accounting function while driving financial transformation, process improvement, and infrastructure build-out in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.The company is seeking a leader who wants to take full ownership of the accounting and finance function and operate as a true business partner to the CEO, CFO, and operations teams, helping drive performance and value creation across the platform.The position is designed to evolve as the platform continues to scale. It is a highly visible opportunity with direct exposure to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Close & ReportingOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across multiple locations and legal entitiesEnsure timely and accurate GAAP financial statements and management reporting packagesMaintain and enhance the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting policiesOversee AR, AP, and working capital management, including inventory and cash flow forecastingCreate, Maintain, and prepare weekly KPI reporting to be shared with CEO/CFO and the leadership teamSupport treasury, banking relationships, and debt covenant reportingM&A IntegrationSupport financial due diligence efforts, including quality of earnings, working capital analysis, and integration planningLead post-close integration of acquired businesses, including accounting policies, systems, and reporting alignmentStandardize chart of accounts, financial reporting, and KPIs across newly acquired entitiesPartner with operations and leadership to identify and execute synergies, cost savings, and process improvementsEnsure timely onboarding of acquired entities into close and reporting cyclesAssist in building scalable playbooks for future acquisitions in a roll-up environmentControls, Audit & ComplianceDesign and implement internal controls appropriate for a PE-backed environmentLead annual audit, tax coordination, and lender reportingEnsure compliance with GAAP and sponsor reporting requirementsProcess Improvement & Financial TransformationDrive process improvements and financial transformation initiatives across accounting and reportingImprove close cadence, reporting accuracy, and system utilizationSupport or lead ERP enhancements/implementationsBuild scalable processes to support continued growth, acquisitions, and integrationQualifications & ExperienceRequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferredPrior public accounting experience preferredPrevious experience as a Controller/ VP of FinanceHands-on ownership of the month-end close processExperience supporting multi-site operationsProven track record of process improvement / financial transformationStrong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningAbility to operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability PE environmentPreferredExperience with ERP implementations or upgradesConstruction, or similar project based industry experience; Previous experience working for a PE backed or sponsor-owned companyStrong partnership with operations and plant leadership teamsPlease apply and email an updated resume to nroof@bcssearch.com for immediate consideration.
