Job DescriptionSpecial Education Teacher - Self-Contained (K-2)We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to lead a self-contained K-2 classroom in an Illinois school district. This full-time position offers an incredible opportunity to make a lasting impact by supporting young learners as they build academic, behavioral, and social-emotional skills in a structured and nurturing environment.In this role, you'll work with a manageable caseload of 14 students, supported by a classroom paraprofessional who assists with daily routines, small-group instruction, and behavioral support. You will design and deliver individualized lessons aligned with IEP goals, incorporating evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies to meet each student's unique needs.Collaboration is key-you'll partner closely with related service providers, general education staff, and families to ensure students receive consistent, well-rounded support.
