Beaker Analyst
The Epic Beaker Analyst designs, configures, and optimizes Beaker workflows to support efficient, compliant laboratory operations and strong revenue cycle performance. This role leverages expertise in lab science, data integration, and order-to-cash processes to deliver scalable solutions. The Analyst partners with lab leadership, IT, and cross-application Epic teams, while contributing to governance, standardization, and team mentorship.Key Responsibilities:Design and configure lab workflows, tests, and cross-specialty templates (Chemistry, Hem, Micro, Molecular, AP)Support end users and serve as liaison between workflows and Epic build teamsPartner with architecture and revenue cycle teams to optimize order-through-billing processesManage validation, regression testing, and change control documentationMonitor KPIs (TAT, errors, billing success) and drive system improvementsTroubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve defectsDevelop and execute test scripts; ensure full documentation for CAP, CLIA, HIPAA complianceMentor analysts and promote configuration standards and reusable componentsQualifications: Required:5+ years Epic Beaker build experience with measurable lab performance improvementsStrong knowledge of specimen routing, result rules, and billing logicExperience leading cross-functional build effortsTravel: up to 25%Preferred:Integration with lab automation or reference labsLean Six SigmaEducation & Certifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required)Epic Beaker CP or AP certification (required)Additional Epic certs (Resolute, Bridges, Prelude, Cadence, MyChart) and PMP/Lean credentials (preferred)
