Assesses patients for appropriate types and frequencies of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis. Implements and monitors patient care plans and equipment. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities. Evaluates respiratory practices, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes. Educates patients and families about health conditions and provides information about available community support groups and other programs. Responds to emergency resuscitation team codes.
