Job SummaryThe Lead Network Engineer is a seasoned professional who provides advanced expertise for planning, implementing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure in a global enterprise environment. The primary focus of this position is to implement and support network technology and solutions; the candidate will also be part of the larger global team, providing 24x7 network support including project management, operations, expansion, and maintenance of all equipment within the global enterprise domain.ResponsibilitiesImplement and manage enterprise networking solutions with high reliability and availabilityIntroduce new networking technologies or enhance existing technologies to transform capabilities and servicesProvide networking subject matter expertise to other teams as neededMaintain technical documents for solutions and standard operating procedures to ensure efficient and effective service deliverySupport Paramount's global network, IP, and related security services in and out of hours; tackle complex system and network issues and outagesProvide 3rd-line support of all Paramount network infrastructurePerform knowledge transfer to Level 2 Engineers on new implementationsServe as escalation point for Level 2 Engineers and peersWork closely with the Voice Services team to ensure telecom equipment is integrated with networking infrastructureAct as technical project manager by preparing project plans, interacting with other departments, and guiding IT resources as requiredKeep all documentation (including LAN/WAN drawings and equipment lists) accurate and up to dateMonitor industry developments, directly or through a third party, to ensure the company is aware of emerging technologiesActively participate in engineering and architecture solution peer reviews and design sessionsManage vendor and third-party support and escalationsWork autonomously and exercise reasonable judgment with little supervision while providing clear documentation of activities and accomplishmentsInteract closely with peers and management across all departmentsQualificationsEducation & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience (required)CCNP or equivalent experience (required)CCNP Security or equivalent experience (required)CCIE Routing and Switching (preferred)Technical ExperienceMinimum 5–7 years of experience in a large corporate IP network communications environmentHands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, IOS, NXOS, load balancers, SD-WAN technology, and automationKnowledge of IP security implementation and multi-vendor IPS and URL filteringKnowledge of Dark Fiber and CWDM/DWDMKnowledge of MPLS, BGP, and Internet Exchange PeeringKnowledge of QoS and MulticastKnowledge of Network Management and SNMP-based monitoring solutionsExperience with medium/large corporate network rollout and supportExperience in large-scale enterprise project managementExperience in Media, Entertainment, Broadcast, Hosting, or ISP environmentsSkills & AttributesTeam player with a collaborative working styleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skills and ability to prioritize issues effectivelyStrong time management with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrentlyGenuine enthusiasm for technologyThoroughness and attention to detailAbility to generate and implement proceduresAbility to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environmentParamount Skydance Corporation (NASDAQ: PSKY) is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates premium content and experiences for audiences worldwide.
