Production Planner
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to support our operations and ensure efficient production scheduling, materials planning, and coordination between departments. This individual will play a key role in helping us meet customer deadlines, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory levels during a period of increased demand.

In This Role You Will:
Monitor work orders and job progress; proactively identify delays or bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
Make corrections to work order BOMs as needed
Coordinate closely with production supervisors to adjust schedules based on shop floor conditions
Create and manage visual scheduling tools (spreadsheets, whiteboards, or planning boards
Partner with purchasing and inventory teams to align material availability with production priorities
Lead daily or weekly production scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams
Manage work order statuses, make corrections as necessary
Support inventory control processes, including cycle counts and demand forecasting
Troubleshoot fulfillment or other work order related issues
Provide feedback for ERP item master/master data corrections
Generate and maintain planning metrics, reports, and KPIs to support operations leadership
Assist in transitioning planning activities into a more standardized or digital format (if applicable)
Qualifications/Skills:
3+ years of production planning or materials scheduling experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Strong understanding of MRP systems and planning tools (experience with ERP software such as Oracle, Epicor, SAP or similar)
Familiarity with BOMs, routing, lead times, and inventory control
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Additional Skills:
Oracle NetSuite ERP experience.
Electrical distribution equipment manufacturing or engineered to order business
Work Environment:This position primarily operates in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to machinery, equipment, and electrical systems.
