Working Supervisor - Heavy Equipment Operator

Edison, NJ Full-TimeWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Working Supervisor to lead and actively participate in heavy equipment operations. This position requires a hands-on leader who can supervise a crew while also operating equipment as needed. The ideal candidate will balance leadership responsibilities with field work to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of heavy equipment operators and labor crew Operate heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, etc.) as needed Lead by example by maintaining productivity and safety standards on-site Ensure all work complies with company policies and safety regulations Plan and assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and adjust as needed Conduct equipment inspections and ensure proper maintenance Train and mentor crew members on safe and efficient operations Communicate effectively with management and team members Complete daily reports and job documentation Qualifications: 3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience Previous supervisory or crew lead experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of job site safety and OSHA regulations Ability to work both as a leader and a hands-on team member Good communication and organizational skills Valid drivers license (CDL preferred if applicable) Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] Capable of climbing in and out of equipment regularly Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off PIb55802ee4fd4-26289-40422239
