About the RoleAn established structural engineering consulting firm is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join its Indianapolis office. This role offers the opportunity to lead projects from design through completion while remaining hands-on with structural engineering and working directly with clients.ResponsibilitiesLead structural projects from initial design through project closeout.Design structural steel connections, building structures, foundations, stairs, and rails.Perform structural analysis and calculations in compliance with IBC, ASCE, and AISC standards.Coordinate with architects, contractors, fabricators, and internal teams.Review drawings, calculations, and technical deliverables.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight.Manage project schedules, budgets, and client relationships.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) license.4+ years of structural engineering experience.Experience managing structural engineering projects.Strong background in structural steel and connection design.Excellent communication and leadership skills.SoftwareExperience with AutoCAD, Mathcad, RAM Elements, RAM Connections, IDEA StatiCa, Trimble Connect, Hilti PROFIS, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is preferred.BenefitsCompetitive salary401(k) with company matchMedical benefits & HSA contributionsProfit-sharing bonusFlexible working hoursPaid vacation, PTO, and holidaysPaid family leaveProfessional development supportTechnology/workspace allowanceThis opportunity is ideal for a structural engineer looking to step into a project leadership role while continuing to develop technically.
