Controls Engineer / PLC Programmer (Automotive Standards)📌 Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer for a 100% on-site position at our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the hands-on programming, debugging, and optimization of Siemens (TIA Portal/Step 7) and Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000/Logix Designer) PLCs. The ideal candidate must have direct, physical experience implementing and working under strict global automotive OEM standards on the plant floor.🛠 Key ResponsibilitiesProgram, debug, and commission Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs directly on the production floor.Deploy and modify HMI/SCADA screens according to project and plant specifications.Implement and enforce automotive programming standards for logic structure, safety, and networks.Perform physical startup and validation of robotic cells, vision systems, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).Provide real-time, hands-on troubleshooting for complex electrical, pneumatic, and control network issues (Profinet, Ethernet/IP).Collaborate face-to-face with production, maintenance, and cross-functional teams to optimize cycle times and machine efficiency.🎓 Required Skills & QualificationsWork Location: 100% On-Site (Production floor/Plant environment).Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.PLC Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of advanced, hands-on programming in Siemens and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley.Automotive Standards: Proven, direct plant-floor experience with at least two of the following OEM standards:Tesla: MOS / C-StandardsGeneral Motors: GM Global EP1 / GCCSFord: FAST / VOSSVolkswagen: VASS (VASS5 / VASS6)BMW: L7 / TTIHardware & Networks: Industrial networks (Profinet, Profibus, EtherNet/IP) and safety PLCs (Safety Integrated / GuardLogix).Robotics Integration: Basic knowledge interacting with Fanuc, KUKA, or ABB robots on the line is highly preferred.Language: Fluent or advanced professional English (essential for technical documentation and vendor communication).💼 What We OfferCompetitive salary based on technical experience.Hands-on experience with cutting-edge automotive manufacturing technology.Continuous training on next-generation automation platforms.
