Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you’ll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoDaily yard check for pre-loaded trailers and following up with carriers on delivery status of trailersAbility to work outside and lift heavy loads.Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping using overhead cranesParticipate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety CultureEffectively communicate with others about possible production issues, concerns, and needsResponsible for continuous improvement such as suggesting improvements in work methods and proceduresEnsure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shiftResponsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work areaTroubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with othersWork safely to prevent on the job injuries by always following safety rules and regulations including proper wearing of company PPEWhat You'll NeedAbility to work effectively as a team member in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and root-cause problem-solvingAbility to work in environments with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust, fumes, loud noise, elevated work areas, uneven surfaces, and confined spacesAbility to work overtime as required, including planned schedules and unplanned emergency situationsWork on a rotating shift which may include weekends and holidaysBasic computer skillsDemonstrate dependability in attendance, work completions, and flexibility to meet business needsAbility to lift to 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and stand for extended periods of timeYour EducationHigh School Diploma or GED preferredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
