This position requires understanding of risk assessment and management as it relates to production and safety activities. The primary responsibility of the Production Supervisor is to ensure the assigned work is completed in a timely manner. This includes assigning and explaining daily tasks to technicians; monitoring work progress and compliance with policies and procedures; training and assisting technicians. The Production Supervisor uses judgment independently and makes difficult decisions (i.e. Layoffs, disciplinary actions, prioritizing multiple projects and hiring employees.) The Production Supervisor will work with the Operations Manager and Manufacturing Engineering to improve processes.Roles & ResponsibilitiesManages processes to ensure that the product is manufactured in accordance with the documented customer requirements and work instructionsManage priorities and work assignments each day that are determined in conjunction with Operations ManagementCoordinates all production activities with Hamilton Ops, Hwy 20 Ops, Project Management and Cell ManagersProvides training and assistance to cell leads on handling risk management, employee issues, work order issues, CDIs, or other problems or concerns as they ariseProvides Risk management of facilities and work forceHandles all facility related concerns as they arise and resolves operational/manufacturing problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.Provide CDI inspections as neededUtilizes QCBD, SAP and Kronos (to monitor attendance; fix clock-ins, etc.)Works towards continuous improvement by building the technical skills of the team and constantly improving quality and efficiencyImplements standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with JI standards, Safety, 5S, HazMat, AS9100 and NADCAP Standards and PracticesPerforms other duties as assignedBehavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisorsBeing at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of your jobBasic QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.At least 4 years in production and personnel managementMust have the ability to multitask. Must have basic computer skills and be familiar with Excel, Outlook, and WordMust be able to learn the project management software within 3 months.Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English languageDue to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.Preferred QualificationsTechnical or College degree preferred.DETAILED WAGE INFORMATIONWage range for this role is between $24 - $48 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role.
