Employee Benefits Account Manager

*PLEASE NOTE - This is a hybrid position that will require up to 3 days/week in our Richardson, Texas office*The Employee Benefits Account Manager – Small Group Health & Individual Disability/Life is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of small group employee benefits and individual disability/life clients consisting of dentists and dental practices. This role partners closely with producers, carriers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality service, ensure compliance, and support renewals and ongoing client needs. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is growth-oriented, and enjoys supporting team success.Your Impact:Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned small group employee benefits and individual disability/life clientsManage renewals for groups, including gathering census data, preparing renewal comparisons, and supporting plan design discussionsCoordinate with carriers on quotes, underwriting, enrollments, eligibility updates, billing issues, and plan changesSupport open enrollment activities including employee materials, carrier coordination, and implementation timelinesHandle ongoing service needs such as eligibility changes, terminations, new hires, and claims or billing inquiriesQuote, submit tickets, take applications, and support underwriting process for individual disability and term life policiesEnsure compliance with applicable regulations including ACA, ERISA, and COBRAMaintain accurate documentation and client records in agency management systemsPartner with producers and internal teams to deliver a seamless client experienceIdentify opportunities to improve processes, enhance service delivery, and support client retentionSuccessful Candidates Will Have:2+ years of experience in employee benefits within an insurance brokerage or agency environmentExperience supporting small group (2–99 lives) clients strongly preferredFamiliarity with fully insured benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, and ancillary coverages, as well as individual disability/term life insuranceWorking knowledge of employee benefits compliance and enrollment processesStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with Applied Epic a plusActive Life & Health insurance licenseWhat Success Looks Like:Clients feel supported, informed, and confident in their benefits programsRenewals are handled accurately, proactively, and on timeStrong collaboration with producers and internal partnersHigh attention to detail with consistent follow-throughAbility to manage volume while maintaining high-quality serviceBrown & Brown, Inc.
