Housekeeping HousepersonRancho Mirage, CARate: $21.63/hourPosition OverviewThe Houseperson works closely with the Room Attendants and housekeeping leadership, supporting them in maintaining the cleanliness of the entire hotel. This position plays an integral role in the Resort Housekeeping team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include The Following:Removing trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and removing trash and linen from cleaning carts and housekeeping closetsReporting any linen shortages or other discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisorMaintaining each storage and distribution area ensuring they are clean and organizedDistributing linen and supplies to designated areas in the hotel in accordance with established par levels in each areaDelivering miscellaneous goods and supplies to guest rooms and delivering linen and supplies to guest floorsMaking up and delivering roll-a-way beds and baby cribsMaintaining cleanliness of guest corridors; sweeping and washing floors, vacuuming carpet, washing walls, dusting furniture and fixtures, cleaning elevators and tracksPerform all job duties in a safe manner and abide by all safety policies and proceduresAdhere to all company and departmental guidelinesPerform other tasks as requested by supervisorDemonstrate warmth and sincerity in all interactionsMaintain a professional and welcoming demeanor in both verbal and nonverbal communicationTake ownership of all guest requests and be proactive in ensuring resolution as neededMaintain impeccable grooming and personal hygiene at all times and wear uniform as directedUphold Sensei values in daily practicesSuccessfully complete all training and certifications needed for the positionEnsure the confidentiality and security of all guestsReport all faulty equipment, supply needs, maintenance needs, safety hazards, injuries, and other concerns immediately to your supervisorLeadership Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customersCustomer Service Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient mannerTeamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workersSafety Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.Due to the intimate nature of the resort with limited number of guests on property, must assist teams laterally across all departments to lead a seamless guest flow throughout the different resort spaces.Other duties as assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
