General ManagerReports to: Area ManagerFLSA Status: ExemptDepartment: Retail OperationsLocation: Willowbrook, ILPay Range: $55,000 - $65,000 DOEPosition Summary: The Store Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of a high-volume Mint Cannabis retail dispensary. This role oversees all store functions, including team leadership, sales performance, compliance, inventory control, and customer experience. The Store Manager will build and mentor a strong team while ensuring a consistent, compliant, and customer-focused experience.The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-driven leader with proven experience in retail management and a passion for operational excellence in the cannabis industry.Responsibilities:Leadership & People ManagementLead, train, and coach a team of 25–50 employees, including assistant managers and front-line staffCreate a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture aligned with Mint Cannabis valuesConduct team meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching to ensure accountability and developmentRetail OperationsOversee day-to-day dispensary operations, including opening/closing, shift coverage, cash handling, and complianceEnsure exceptional customer service and resolve escalated guest issues professionallyMonitor store appearance, cleanliness, and functionality to ensure a consistent customer experienceCompliance & SecurityEnsure full compliance with all state and local cannabis regulations, company policies, and SOPsManage Facility Agent Cards, ID verification, and documentation proceduresEnforce safety and security protocols including alarm systems, cash handling, and loss preventionInventory & Financial OversightWork with inventory and procurement teams to maintain accurate stock levels and timely product rotationOversee daily financials, including cash reconciliation, banking deposits, and reportingSupport sales forecasting and budgeting while managing labor and operational expensesCollaboration & Business GrowthCollaborate with marketing to execute promotions and in-store campaignsPartner with leadership and support teams on cross-functional initiatives and regional planningEngage in local community outreach and brand-building opportunities Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervises all store staff, including assistant managers, leads, and front-line team membersResponsible for hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance managementEnsures adherence to company policies, compliance standards, and operational proceduresFosters a team-oriented environment that supports employee growth and accountabilityQualifications:3+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a high-volume, regulated environment1+ year of cannabis industry experience strongly preferredDemonstrated success in team leadership, operational execution, and customer service excellenceStrong working knowledge of compliance, inventory management, and cash handling proceduresExcellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skillsProficiency with POS systems and retail management softwareMust be at least 21 years of ageMust possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card per state regulationsMust be able to pass a background check and fingerprint clearanceEducation and Certifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift 25–50 pounds and perform physical inventory tasksMust be able to bend, reach, stoop, and move in a retail environmentMay be required to work indoors and outdoors in varied conditionsMust be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysWork Environment:High-volume retail dispensary environmentFast-paced, customer-facing setting with compliance and security protocolsOccasional exposure to cannabis odor and product handlingTravel Requirements:Minimal travel; occasional travel for training or multi-store collaboration may be required Equal Opportunity Employer Statement: Mint Cannabis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
