TEMPORARY CODE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTOR
BUILDING DEPARTMENT
SUMMARY: Independently handles minor code enforcement issues such as graffiti, tall grass, trash and litter complaints in accordance with City Ordinance. Significant interaction with general public, City staff and/or officials.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and climb or balance. Frequently exposed to outdoor environment; vibration; fumes or airborne particles; and occasionally works in indoor or office environment.
CLASSIFICATION & WORK HOURS: Temporary, non-benefited position not to exceed 90 days. 20 hours maximum per week, flexible schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires High School graduate or GED, 1 year experience performing inspection/code enforcement or relevant experience, and valid CT Driver's License. Excellent interpersonal skills. Requires proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word or similar software.
SALARY: $25.00/hr. Non-benefited position.
