Program Eligibility & Enrollment If you are already enrolled in trade-related classes, you will automatically be eligible to become an apprentice with Southern Air. We will take over the cost of your program beginning the following semester. If you have not yet started classes, you must first be employed with Southern Air for a minimum of six (6) months. At that time, your supervisor may refer you to the Apprenticeship Program based on your performance and whether you meet company expectations and program requirements. Program Details The cost of our Apprenticeship Program is fully covered by Southern Air. As a result, this benefit is only available to Southern Air employees. Job Description The State Apprentice will work alongside a Journeyman or Master tradesperson to assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment according to customer specifications and applicable codes. Apprentices also attend training as part of their professional development through approved educational programs.
