Video Editor – Motion Graphics Specialist

Position: Video Editor – Motion Graphics Specialist Location: In-Office (Pasadena, CA) Job Type: Full-Time Monday - Friday (weekends as needed) Salary: $3K-$3.5K per month (based on experience level) About GoldenTV: GoldenTV is the first cable television and streaming platform that combines Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) stories into one limitless, creator-centric home. Our mission is to highlight and elevate AAPI voices through diverse content, from films and shows to exclusive interviews and more. We’re looking for a passionate and talented Video Editor with a strong focus on motion graphics to join our dynamic team and help bring AAPI stories to life. Responsibilities: Collaborate with producers, directors, and the creative team to create high-quality video content for broadcast and streaming. Design, animate, and edit motion graphics, including titles, lower thirds, transitions, and visual effects. Ensure brand consistency by adhering to GoldenTV’s visual style and guidelines. Work on a variety of projects, including AAPI-themed shows, interviews, trailers, promotional videos, and social media content. Incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to deliver polished, final products. Manage video assets and maintain an organized archive of footage, project files, and graphics. Keep up with the latest trends in video editing, motion graphics, and visual effects to push creative boundaries. Ensure all deliverables meet technical specifications for both cable and streaming platforms. Assist in post-production tasks, including color grading, audio syncing, and sound design, when necessary. Qualifications: Passion for storytelling, especially within the Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, and knowledge of AAPI culture and entertainment is a plus. 3+ years of professional video editing experience, with a focus on motion graphics, animation and color correction. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.) and other relevant motion design software. Understanding of various video formats, codecs, and technical requirements for broadcasting and streaming. Strong portfolio showcasing a range of motion graphics and video editing work. Experience working on content for streaming platforms or television networks is a plus. Proficiency handling camera equipment, lighting and basic videography skills is a plus.
