We are currently seeking an Ultrasound Technologist on a part-time/full-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As the Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for producing quality, diagnostic radiographs, and ready for Radiologist interpretation. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to apply now! Your tasks and responsibilities include: Select appropriate procedure on EOP request; enter charge code into system correctlyResponsible for completed file to be turned into the Radiologist: main jacket with exam and time, correct inserts, interim and comparison films Distribution of all dictated reports and charting, stapling, mailing, filing of return films and purging of file rooms during any slow time on shiftEnsure equipment table is kept clean, wiped down after every patient contact (including W/C, stretchers)Ensure equipment maintenance needs are reported immediately to supervisor to ensure minimal down time and safetyQualifications: Allied health degree (2-year)Successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography programValid ARDMS with a minimum of 1 specialty Current BLS CertificationKnowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to ultrasoundKnowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique and patient positioning techniquesKnowledge of safety practices relative to radiation exposure, hazardous materials and infection control policiesFor over 40 years, HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital has been providing comprehensive healthcare services.
