Purpose Of The Role & ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to lead and execute end-to-end Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) projects, ensuring the successful delivery of turnkey solutions tailored to customer needs. This role is instrumental in bridging technical execution with customer satisfaction, managing all phases from project scoping to on-site commissioning.Key responsibilities include:Leading and managing AMR projects from concept through to commissioningActing as the primary customer contact to manage timelines, expectations, and feedbackAligning internal teams—sales, engineering, production, and support—to deliver cohesive project outcomesSupporting sales with early-stage technical input and feasibility assessmentsOverseeing installation, troubleshooting, and final system tuningManaging project timelines, budgets, milestones, and resource planningDriving internal coordination and project reviews to maintain accountability and momentumIdentifying and mitigating risks to ensure on-time and high-quality project deliveryPromoting continuous improvement and scalable project practices across teamsExperienceMinimum 7 years of overall experience in industries such as automation, robotics, industrial systems, or other technology-driven turnkey project environments.At least 5 years of direct experience in project management or project engineering, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projectsHands-on experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating between departments including engineering, sales, and productionPrior involvement in customer-facing roles, with demonstrated ability to manage expectations, resolve issues, and drive customer satisfactionExperience working with industrial hardware and software tools (e.g., AGV/AMRs, PLCs, sensors, simulation tools, CAD platforms) is preferredFamiliarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello)Comfortable operating in fast-paced, innovation-focused environmentsEducationBachelor's degree in Engineering is required—preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related technical fieldAdditional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are considered a plusOngoing interest in professional development and technical learning is highly valuedSkills & CompetenciesStrong project ownership mindset with ability to manage scope, resources, risks, and deadlines effectivelyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills—comfortable interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across departmentsStructured decision-making, analytical thinking, and keen attention to detailProficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, CATIA, NX, Vismockup) and familiarity with industrial tools and systemsExperience using project management platforms (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello)Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in dynamic, fast-paced, innovation-driven environmentsTechnical problem-solving skills, especially in field integration and commissioning contextsFluent in English, with strong written and verbal communicationKnowledge of German is a plusValid driver's licenseNeed to Relocate or Mobility- Willingness to travel (domestic or abroad) for on-site installations, commissioning, and customer meetings as required by project scope- Mobility to work across different project locations during critical phases of deploymentAdditional Requirements- Candidates must currently reside in Michigan or Kentucky, USA- No relocation support is planned for this role
