Repairs Technician

Job DescriptionAs a Repairs Technician in the Service Center, you will:Troubleshoot, repair, or calibrate electronic and optical test equipment as requiredOperate various test equipment and tools needed to perform repairs and calibrationsDocument parts, labour time, and analysis notes in SAP ERPProvide repair estimates as requiredThis Job Description indicates, broadly, the duties of this position. It should be noted that the job title nor this Job Description limits the duties of this position, and the company may require you from time to time to do any other duties within your capacity.What We’re Looking ForExperience electronic and fiber optic equipmentExperience with analog and digital electronic circuits and technology is requiredExperience with handling of electronic equipment is requiredExperience with electronic troubleshooting and repair methods is requiredExperience with the use of ERP (experience with SAP is an asset)Knowledge of EXFO products and operation would be an assetVery good computer literacy and understanding of databases, email, and spreadsheets.Good verbal and written reporting skills.Excellent attention to detail to produce a high-rate of ‘right-first-time’ results in all work.Ability to learn new skills, technologies, and ideas rapidly.Ability to work to within deadlines and under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude at all times.Required AptitudesCustomer, action, and results-orientedVersatilityStrong sense of responsibility and organizationAutonomy, attention to detail, and accuracyAbility to work as part of a teamRequirementsRelevant experience: Minimum 2-3 years of electronic test equipment service experience with good understanding of electronics.
