Safety ManagerPrimary Job Roles/Responsibilities: 1. Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. 2. Applies the practices and policies of the Black Box Safety Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) manual. 3. Develops and implements and participates in safety and orientation training programs. 4. Inspects facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented. 5. Maintains a record of all safety documents including audits, inspections, Pre-Task Plan (PTP), JHAs, and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs). 6. Participates in the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organizational use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations. 7. Other duties as necessary. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities of the Job: 1. Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations. 2. Excellent communication skills 3. Strong understanding of training development and presentation 4. Excellent organization and prioritization skills 5. Knowledge of MS Word and Excel Special Training/Certifications/Licenses: 1. OSHA Outreach Trainer Certification for OHSHA 10 and 30 hour 2. BCSP certification such as ASP, CHST, OHST Work Environment: May be exposed to construction environments. Travel Expectations: Your position requires 100% travel, which means you will be expected to travel full-time to client sites, project locations, or other business-related destinations as directed by the company. Your primary work location will be on-site at assigned locations, and you may not have a fixed office location.
