Behavior Technician (BT or RBT)
Essential Speech and ABA Therapy has openings at our privately owned clinic located in Friendswood, TX! We are very excited and proud of our new clinic and we are looking forward to providing the best services to the families in Friendswood and surrounding communities. We are currently hiring Behavior Technicians/Registered Behavior Technicians to become a part of our team! In this role you will implement individualized ABA treatment plans and behavior intervention plans to children with Autism.
To be considered for this role does not require you to have past experience. The successful candidate will receive training and is expected to become a Registered Behavior Technician as a member of our team. If you consider yourself a team player who loves working with children then keep reading.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Implementation of plan of care as specified by the BCBA
Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy
Complete documentation, with signature, for all services provided
Measure, prepare, enter, and update all data related to children that are serviced
Describe and record children’s behaviors in measurable terms.
Assist BCBAs with assessment procedures as needed
Implement interventions and differential reinforcement procedures
Maintain clear lines of communication and professional boundaries, and implement supervisors’ feedback to improve professional performance
Complete office duties, including but not limited to preparing materials, making copies, laminating, cutting, finding copies of stimuli, and preparing group and individual activities
Collaboration with BCBA, Speech Therapists/OTs, fellow RBTs, and other staff as needed
Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and family
Maintain strict confidentiality
Clean and disinfect commonly used areas and items
Complete all required documentation according to company guidelines
Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or High School Equivalent, with some college.
Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Team player
Experience working with children between the ages of 18 months to 6 years old (Preferred)
Punctuality
Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets
RBT certification (Preferred)
Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Preferred)
Excellent communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
