Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner
Schedule:
PRN / Locum (as needed basis)
Ongoing coverage
Training & onboarding required prior to first solo shift (scheduled Wednesdays)
Practice Setting:
High-volume Urgent Care center
Average 40 patients/day (up to 60 depending on site)
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide care for adult & pediatric patients (6 months+)
Manage episodic care and injury treatment
Perform minor procedures:Incision & Drainage (I&D)
Laceration repair
Ear irrigation
Work independently as the sole provider (with supervising physician available offsite)
EMR:
EPIC (proficiency required)
Support Staff:
Center Manager
Medical Assistant (MA)
Patient Services Assistant (PSA)
Supervising Physician (offsite)
Requirements:
Board Certified (ANCC/AANP for NP NCCPA for PA)
Minimum 12 months of clinical experience (Urgent Care preferred)
Active North Carolina license
Active DEA
BLS Certification
Comfortable managing high patient volume
Strong communication and patient care skills
Additional Details:
No call requirements
Mileage reimbursement only (no lodging/travel)
Must complete clinical screening prior to onboarding
Credentialing required before scheduling shifts
