The mission of ODRR is to connect individuals, businesses, and private non-profits with SBA disaster assistance programs and improve disaster recovery outcomes and economic resilience by helping communities prepare for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate against disasters of all types.This Is What You'll DoIn this senior role, the Lead Planner II will leverage in-depth knowledge of disaster preparedness and recovery to lead complex planning initiatives and be responsible for conducting comprehensive analyses, facilitating critical discussions, and spearheading the implementation of robust plans that ensure our community's preparedness and resilience in the face of disasters.Lead the analysis of existing disaster preparedness and recovery plans, identifying areas for improvement and potential gapsDevelop and implement a comprehensive planning process, ensuring stakeholder engagement and inputFacilitate high-level discussions and workshops to guide the development and refinement of plansDraft, edit, and finalize disaster preparedness and recovery plans, incorporating best practices and adhering to regulationsLead the development and implementation of strategies for disseminating plan information throughout the organizationOversee the implementation of new or revised plans and proceduresMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of disaster preparedness and recovery plansStay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in disaster management and integrate them into planning initiativesQualificationsTo be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:Master's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, preferably within the government or non-profit sectorProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet deadlines and stay within budgetStrong understanding of program management methodologies and best practicesExperience in stakeholder engagement and managementMinimum of 5 years of experience in disaster preparedness, response, or recovery planning, with a strong track record of leading successful planning initiativesExcellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management toolsAbility to obtain and maintain a public trust clearanceIdeal candidates may also possess several of the following skills and qualifications:Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate complex discussions and workshops with diverse stakeholdersExtensive experience developing, reviewing, and updating comprehensive disaster preparedness and recovery plansProven track record of building consensus and implementing effective planning strategiesLocation, Compensation & BenefitsThis is a remote position; however, must reside in one of the following states:AL, CA, DC, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, WATravel may be required (Competitive compensation is based on the capability of the candidate.Comprehensive Benefits Package That IncludesNational Healthcare Insurance (including a 100% employer-paid coverage option)Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program "EAP" (company paid)401(k) with Generous Employer MatchFlexible Paid Time OffTen (10) Paid HolidaysHealthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)AFLAC Critical Illness, Hospital, Accident PlansVolunteer Paid Time OffProfessional DevelopmentWork From Home StipendLife and AD&D Insurance (company paid)Long Term Disability (company paid)Eligibility for bonuses based on company and individual performanceAbout CONSTANTCONSTANT is an award-winning consultancy focused on executing our mission of making the world a safer place.
