This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production goals related to quality, safety, and cost. The ideal candidate will lead maintenance teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a strong, safety-focused culture.Job Duties: Supervise and direct hourly maintenance team members in all aspects of equipment maintenance and repair within a unionized environmentPlan, prioritize, and assign daily maintenance activities to support production efficiency and uptimeCommunicate expectations clearly while reinforcing company policies, procedures, and performance standardsEnsure full compliance with GMPs, safety regulations, and housekeeping standardsMonitor equipment performance and recommend improvements in maintenance methods, processes, and systemsPartner with leadership to communicate updates, challenges, and opportunities for operational improvementDevelop and coach team members through performance management, training, and continuous development initiativesPromote a positive and inclusive work environment that emphasizes respect, accountability, and continuous improvementQualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance within an automated food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing environmentDemonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, including power transmission, fabrication, and preventative maintenance practicesAbility to interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and PLC programs for troubleshooting and diagnosticsProven leadership experience in a union environment with strong employee relations skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to address employee concerns professionally and effectivelyStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) and experience with CMMS and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime as neededQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.#infood
