Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - Med Surg/n/nJob Details:/n• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM/n• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6/n• 2-3 days of orientation provided/n• Minimum 2 years clinical experience required/n• Minimum 2 years medical surgical specialty experience required/n• Prior travel experience required (at least one prior assignment)/n• Required certifications: Florida or Compact nursing license, BLS/n• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs per facility policy/n• 4-week scheduling with partial self-scheduling available via Opti-Link/n• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend/n• Holiday requirements per facility policy/n• Floating required to other medical surgical units in rotation with staff and travelers/n• Care for orthopedic and trauma patients including total joints, trauma cases, and medical diagnoses/n• Patient population ages 18 and older/n• Work with specialized equipment including CPM machines, PCA pumps, traction devices, and wound drains/n• Documentation system: Cerner; Medication system: Pyxis/n• Primary nursing care modality/n• CNA/PCT and unit clerk support available/n• 24/7 respiratory and anesthesia support available/n• Free shuttle transportation from designated parking lot/n/nFacility:/nThis 772-bed healthcare facility operates as a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center with Level 2 Trauma capabilities. The facility features a 34-bed orthopedic and trauma medical surgical unit that specializes in caring for patients with trauma injuries, orthopedic procedures, and various medical conditions.
