Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant supports the financial health of our organization through accurate and timely reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day general ledger work. This hands-on role executes the core accounting cycle — general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, cost allocation across entities, payroll processing, and month-end close — while assisting with the development of Standard Operating Procedures and process improvements that strengthen the accounting function. If you're a hands-on financial professional eager to advance your career with an organization dedicated to expertly managing commercial properties and delivering exceptional value, we'd love to hear from you.Reports To: ControllerKey ResponsibilitiesMaintain the general ledger across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial dataExecute month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesPerform cost allocations across entities and properties to ensure accurate expense distributionReconcile intercompany activity and process expense reimbursementsProcess bi-weekly payroll, including payroll entries, reconciliations, and reporting in coordination with HR and external providersPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsAssist with external audits, tax filings, and compliance with financial reporting standards and internal policiesTrack and reconcile commission paymentsAssist with the development, documentation, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the accounting functionContribute to process improvement and automation initiatives, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce manual workCollaborate with property management, leasing, and operations teams to gather information needed for accurate reportingRequired Skills/Abilities5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, property management, or a multi-entity environmentHands-on experience with accounts payable and multi-entity cost allocationStrong working knowledge of GAAP and the full accounting cycleExperience documenting workflows and contributing to SOP development a plusHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)Experience with property management or ERP accounting software preferredExceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines independentlyStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindsetBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
