Job Description Cable Assembler (Swing Shift) – Contract-to-HireLocation: San Jose, CAPay: $23/hr.Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 1:10 PM–11:50 PM (4x10s, 40-minute lunch)Duration: 90-day assignment to start (extension and potential hire based on performance)Overtime: Available (no shift differential) About the roleWe're hiring Cable Assemblers to support a leading medical manufacturing team. You'll build complex cable and harness assemblies and perform basic testing/inspection to ensure quality standards are met. What you'll doAssemble complex cables, harnesses, and electro-mechanical assembliesCut/strip/crimp wires and perform soldering as neededUse automated crimping/stripping equipmentRead and follow work instructions, blueprints, and schematicsPerform basic testing such as pull testing and other cable verification tests (ex: continuity/hi-pot as applicable)Complete first-piece setup and submit for QA approval when requiredInspect work for quality, maintain accurate counts, and keep your work area organizedSupport/assist less experienced assemblers as needed What we're looking for2+ years building complex cable assemblies (not just basic wiring)Comfortable with soldering, crimping, stripping, and small hand toolsAble to read prints/schematics and follow detailed instructionsBasic math skills and strong attention to detailAble to work independently and stay quality-focused Physical / safety requirementsLifting up to 50 lbsClosed-toe shoes required (safety glasses provided)Background check required (7-year criminal) Benefits (for JSG contractors)Medical, dental, vision, life insurance options, short-term disability, 401(k), weekly pay, and more.Company DescriptionJohnson Service Group, Inc.
