Senior Salesforce DeveloperLocation: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)Employment Type: Full-TimeOverviewA financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to design and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions supporting enterprise business operations.This role will focus on building and maintaining Salesforce applications across Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud, implementing custom development using Apex and Lightning Web Components, and supporting integrations with enterprise systems and third-party platforms. The Senior Salesforce Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable, well-governed Salesforce solutions.The ideal candidate brings strong experience in Salesforce development, system integrations, and DevOps practices within enterprise environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSalesforce DevelopmentDesign and implement custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.Develop and maintain business logic using a combination of Apex and Salesforce Flow.Build custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and automation to support business processes.Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and platform reliability.Salesforce AdministrationConfigure and maintain Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud environments.Manage roles, profiles, permissions, and data security controls.Support user management, system configuration, and ongoing platform enhancements.System IntegrationsDesign and implement integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.Connect Salesforce with enterprise systems such as ERP platforms, identity providers, and third-party applications.Support middleware and ETL processes used for data synchronization and migration.DevOps & DeploymentManage Salesforce deployments across sandbox and production environments.Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise.Participate in Agile delivery processes including sprint planning, development cycles, and release management.Data Management & SecurityMaintain data integrity across Salesforce environments.Use SOQL and SOSL to query, validate, and troubleshoot platform data.Ensure compliance with enterprise security and data governance standards.Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementWork closely with product owners, QA engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.Participate in system design discussions and provide technical recommendations.Contribute to improvements in development standards, platform governance, and release processes.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experienceCertificationsSalesforce Administrator CertificationSalesforce Platform Developer I (PDI)Experience5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experienceExperience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud implementationsExperience developing enterprise Salesforce solutions in regulated or large enterprise environments is a plusSalesforce Development SkillsStrong expertise with:Apex developmentLightning Web Components (LWC)VisualforceSOQL/SOSL queriesExperience designing Salesforce automation using Flows and Apex triggersIntegration & ArchitectureExperience implementing REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integrationsExperience integrating Salesforce with identity platforms, enterprise systems, and third-party applicationsFamiliarity with AppExchange solutions and connectorsDevOps & Agile DeliveryExperience working with CI/CD pipelinesExperience using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar DevOps platformsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum delivery modelsTechnical SkillsFamiliarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and object-oriented programming conceptsExperience with data migration tools and ETL processesStrong understanding of Salesforce data models and security architectureAdditional SkillsStrong analytical and troubleshooting abilitiesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
